GCSE climbing today. Thankfully it’s dry but chilly. Wonder if the group will take the warm clothes suggested? Teens know best!

Can somebody explain why some knots have several names and some names of knots can mean totally different things.? Confused?

Feel for teachers today. Not impressed by the attitude and behaviour I have seen recently from older school kids.

Interesting few days of work. Teaching GCSE and BTEC #adventure #activities. Lots of showing and talking so I’m wrapping up warm.

Tip: “fear is the mind killer” as a #coach help clients focus on the goal as opposed to the “what if”. Where the mind goes the body follows.

Tip: The #outdoors pushes people’s limits. When people are frightened, give instructions clearly and in 3 words or less. Eg “do this now”
