Intermediate Caving Courses
Cave in more challenging systems, both horizontal and with vertical ladder pitches. Gain knowledge of survey reading; cave description interpretation, hazard assessments, flooding and personal safety and conservation of the cave environment. All whilst on a guided underground adventure.

Ladder and Lifeline Rigging Skills.
A skills training course for cavers wanting to learn how to fix ropes, ladders and traverses for their own group to use. Learn to safely identify and link multiple anchors. Safety line each other on descents and ascents. Practice the back up skills necessary to help with a tired or injured group member on pitches and traverses. This course is for people wishing to organise their own ladders and lifeline trips in the future.

Single Rope Technique Training – Personal Vertical Progression
S.R.T. Courses
The first step towards self-sufficient vertical caving. S.R.T. allows you to access the deepest caves in the world as part of a small, skilled team.
For the adventurous looking to go further, let us train you in “Personal Single Rope Technique Progressionâ€. The definitive method of descending and ascending pre rigged caving ropes under your own control.
Under expert guidance and instruction, take part in a comprehensive skills training session. Conducted above and below ground, developing your self-reliance in Vertical Caves and Pot Holes.
In this challenging environment, tackle multiple, self-protected, technical abseils, through vertical shafts into underground chambers. Pass near waterfalls and dark chasms below. Explore the caves deep core by foot and then using your fully trained skills, return to the surface safely, via only the SRT rope.
(S.R.T. bares no resemblance to climbing methods or equipment.)
The course is set over two days and all specialists caving equipment and instruction can be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for adults wishing to explore these exciting places for the first time, or equally for those wishing to develop their own underground repertoire of skills.
Held in the Peak district or Yorkshire Dales.
Accommodation can be arranged local to the area and the evening may cover theory and little liquid refreshment.

Single Rope Technique Courses
Designed to sharpen your Single Rope Technique skills in an adventurous but carefully monitored way underground. Pick up hints and tips on how to keep safe and move efficiently. Includes the opportunity to de-rig SRT ropes under supervision, depending on venue, aspiration and skill level.

Intermediate Caving and Pot Holing
Classic “Pull Through†Trips
A handful of U.K. caves allow us to enter in one entrance and descend through passageways and abseils to emerge at the bottom of the valley below.
We descend each pitch one at a time, retreating through the cave with-drawing our ropes as we go. A committing form of caving, allowing no retreat, it epitomizes the exploits and resolve cavers enjoy as we journey down, through the arteries of the land and out of these classic pots.
