We strive to help you find what’s best for you. Down to what equipment you will need to bring, hire, buy, and where to get buy it from.
We have 3 options that will help you get the best out of your time with us. When booking on a guided trip or skills course you can:
1. Bring your own specialist equipment.
This gives you the opportunity to use your own equipment, become more proficient in its use and tailor make it’s set up during the course precisely.
2. Hire specialist equipment.
Ideal for those of you taking part in taster sessions, or groups of you unsure on what to bring or buy your selves. There is no huge purchase of gear up front, keeping your short-term costs down. It lets you try out the gear before you buy!
3. Buy the “right gear” at a greatly discounted price.
When you book a course with me I provide you with a 10% discount voucher on the course day, redeemable at Hitch n Hike on discountable items. If you wish to purchase your own equipment, we have negotiated a special discount with Hitch n Hike for sets of specialist caving equipment, which will save you approximately 20% off Recommended retail price. This offer is based on buying the complete set at the outdoor instruction price.
You get the correct gear for the course. The sets have been put together based on my experience, avoiding the pit falls of the “cheap sets”, giving high specification and quality for better skills acquisition and progression. As part of the course I will help you set up this equipment to match your skills and offer you tips on care and maintenance.
Once you have made your course booking, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org specifying the set you would like, and I will forward the request with your name, to Hitch n Hike who will be glad to put you kit together.
